My name is Șoptelea Ștefan, I’m 21 years old and I’m studying architecture in Timișoara. I can say that the study in this field has created for me a kind of obsession (in a good way) for travelling. Because it’s a difference between ’’seeing’’ and ’’perceiving’’ an object, a building, a city, it made me more careful about what surrounds me. For me, photopraphy represents a very important instrument in this profession, because we live in a society obsessed with the visual and people have this tendency to evaluate architecture through its image. I consider that photos must be capable of telling a story, to speak for themselves; and that’s what I’m trying to do, to show people the ’’hidden’’ things in front of them, the invisible becoming visible.
