For Lupan Ștefania, photography is a remarkable knowledge tool of both the surrounding world and the self. Currently architect at Miolk, Stefania began studying architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism Cluj-Napoca, following a Master's degree in conservation and rehabilitation of built heritage - METAPHUR (Mémoire Et Techniques de l'Architecture du Patrimoine Habité Urbain et Rural) at Ecole Nationale Supérieure D'Architecture de Clermont-Ferrand. Thanks to the courses studied during the master's degree, she developed a special sensitivity for photography, especially for abstract architecture photography. Stefania considers that looking at the world throught the lens and experimenting with the vantage point is a great way to discover different details of buildings and spaces, which usually pass unnoticed. Her playful way of seeing the world through photography was awarded the Special Prize at BATRA 2019.
