Agricultural research station in Gudenus mansion
Project description
Agricultural research station in Gudenus mansion The intervention upon the Gad complex aims at preserving and re-functionalizing the Gudenus mansion by reintegrating it in the current context and transforming the entire complex into an agricultural research station that becomes part of the cultural route on Lunca Timișului. The project is part of a strategy carried out at territorial level on the Macedonia Forest - Rudna - Gad segment, which took into account the following aspects : - recovery of heritage objects and their connection through a route - completing the infrastructure with a bridge connecting the three villages - creation of a protection corridor of the Timiș River - development of three projects as interventions in the landscapeThe project developed in Gad village satisfies the needs of external users, and also takes into account the possibilities of socio-economic development of the local situation. The layout of the emplacement includes several types of gardens, greenhouses and experimental fields. Thus, the interior space of the mansion becomes a house of vegetation in the form of a scenic support for exhibitors that capture various horticultural processes. The mansion characterized by individualizing attributes becomes a component part of a new landscape that carries with it the spirit of time.In this context, time as history has an essential contribution, transmitting a culture to nature. The interior space becomes an exterior space and vice versa, continuing later with the freedom of the park,a mediating space between the " wild" world and the formal space of laboratory, found punctually in the pavilion structures. The alleys of the park lead further to the experimental area. This area, like a large field, becomes a place of multiple layers,by this understanding that it is both a place of relaxation and a microcosm dedicated to knowledge.
