Olivia Fero is a Hungarian/British artist, based in Budapest. She graduated from Goldsmiths College London in 2009.She is concerned with moments in time and their indecipherability. She pokes fun at the futility of these attempts to document and to archive, what it means to get closer, to understand and therefore to possess, whilst knowing that we have no choice as curious minds but to do so.In this series, I am looking at how people personalise their built environment, stamping their identity upon it bringing joy not only to themselves but to those who see it. These are public installations made by the dedication and love of private individuals.She has exhibited in London (Candid Arts Centre, Bow Arts Trust, Slade UCL) and the Netherlands (Baltan Laboratories, TAC, Design Academy Eindhoven) and was the former Division Head of the Arts and Humanities at the Milestone Institute, Budapest where she now works within the Applied Aesthetics pathway.
